Family-Friendly Brahman Cattle Station
Wolverton Station is a family friendly property in the Archer River region of central Cape York Peninsula and we are renowned for our four generational contributions to the region, communities, land and economy. We offer exclusive boutique glamping on beautiful water for couples, or for family glamping we invite you to a taste station life at Cattle Camp, close to the homestead and yards. We are the only station in far north Queensland with a uniquely designed trail walk along part of a historical cattle droving route, used in the mid 1900s.
Need to explore without the burden of towing your motorhome or trailer for a few days? We invite you to leave your caravan, motorhome or trailer whilst you explore the spectacular Cape York Peninsula.

Fun for the Whole Family!
The Drover’s Way (Trail Walk)
Embrace the bush with an adventure to suit you and your family. This trail walk is for singles, couples, groups or families offering you the opportunity to taste a section of a historic droving route from the mid1900s, taking you to a pristine freshwater creek or a little further to the remains of an old cattle yard. Choose to walk 0.5km or 2km, capturing native wildlife, changing flora and fauna and enjoying being ‘at one’ with nature. When you register to complete the trail, you receive unique GPS coordinates (or directions) to where your Adventure Pack will be hiding. The pack will be prepared especially for you with compasses, maps, information and small challenges, if you have youngsters with you. Each Adventure Pack is different depending upon you and your needs and interests which you share when you register.

Wild Wishes Boutique Glamping, Archer River region
On a beautiful waterfront, only 2km from the main Peninsula Developmental Road in the Archer River region, we invite you to experience the luxury of sleeping in our boutique glamping tent, reconnecting with yourself and nature. Specifically designed for adults, come with a friend or loved one embracing the tranquility and stillness of remoteness. When staying here the whole location is exclusive to you with no other campers or glampers nearby.
Cattle Camp
Come and stay at Cattle Camp glamping! With a queen bed, single bed and the option of an additional bed this is the perfect set up for families travelling, exploring or those keen to escape town. We invite you to our Station to ‘feel’ the experience of staying on a cattle property.
Come and observe whatever activities are going on and immerse yourself into a working cattle station, for one night or longer. Sleep near the homestead in a luxury bell tent, waking to the sounds and smells of life on the station. The glamping is close to bathrooms and an allocated area for your campfire.
